Silly Chilly Willie Rallye

We welcome everyone to RSVP for the 2025 edition of the Silly Chilly Willie rallye.  This will be the silliest one ever.

First, the WB will be the rallye master, and you know what that means…………………..

What’s New: There will be two classes this year.  Class 1 will have Twin Cams, J types, Arnolts, Aston Martins and Wolseleys.  Class 2 will be everything else.  Cars with over 649 HP and all Morgans will have to drive the rallye in REVERSE.  And only if they have a backup camera.

What’s Not New:  The rallye will be a one-day affair, starting in Alvarado and ending in Hamilton, TX.  Approximate distance is 95 miles.  This will be a gimmick rallye.  The starting point will be at the Alvarado Market and Chevron Travel Center located at 1100 Hwy 67 in Alvarado (one block east of I-35W).  The date is Saturday, March 8, 2025.  Driver’s meeting at 10:45AM.  First car out at 11:00.  The rallye will take you through some amazing parts of the state.  The roads are BACKROADS and safe roads and scenic roads.  On this rallye you will learn some history, but most of all have you will have a good time.  This will be an excellent reason to get your MG out and ready for spring.  The rallye will end at The Grain in Hamilton, 110 S Bell, Hamilton, TX.  The Grain is a perfect ending spot for the rallye, having a great bar, draft beers, made-from-scratch entrees, wonderful outdoor patio and an accommodating staff.  Participants can have lunch or the beverage of their choice while the rallye sheets are tabulated and the awards given out.  The timing is set so participants can make it back home by dark after the rallye.  Dallas – 2 hours, San Antonio - 3 hours, Austin – 2 hours.  But there is more……………………

If you want to make it an overnighter, and many will, you can stay at the resort destination of The Inn at Circle T (www.inn-at-circle-t.com).  The Inn at Circle T is an amazing place.  Located just 3 miles east of Hamilton the facilities include a western themed resort, world class steak house, cantina, and rodeo arena.  On the night of March 8 there will be a TSPRA rodeo event in the arena and the Jason Herron band will be playing.  Of course, you cannot get a better meal than at the steak house, so once you are on site, you don’t have to go anywhere!  The hotel has an amazing back patio, Hot tub, luxury rooms and complimentary breakfast that cannot be beat!  They have blocked rooms for us at a discounted rate.  The King Suite can be had for $178.50.  The regular rate is $210.00.  Rooms will be held until March 1^st.  Just call and tell them you are with the Texas MG Register or TMGR.  There phone is 254-386-3209; reserve your room.
