Get ready for another Christmas party/gift robbery!
You know how much fun these are, so mark your calendar and come on down. Or up.
Or over.

We're pretty much in the middle of the Metroplex so equally inconvenient for everybody.
It's going to be just what you've come to expect: lots of laughs and sneaky thievery, with just a couple itty bitty teeny tiny differences.
First off, in order to keep things moving along, and because your hosts are cheap and lazy, there won't be any dinner served, so feed yourself before and/or after. We'll provide snacks and water bottles, but hey, we're not Rockerfellers! There's plenty of great restaurant options around here; fire up your Google machine and check out Christina's for Mexican, Earl's 377 for pizza, Marty B's for steak and BBQ, or 7-11 for hot dogs that have been rolling in grease under a heat lamp for who knows how long.
The good news is there will be plenty of adult beverages available, because YOU'RE going to bring them!
Of course the best part is the gift robbery. For those who've never been, it's pretty simple: Everybody who wants to participate brings a wrapped, anonymous gift. Their name gets drawn at random and they get to either choose to open a gift, OR (and here's where things get fun) steal one that's already been opened.
Gifts in the $30 to $50 range (bonus points for MG/car/British themed items!) are generally considered to be the norm, but there's really no set rules. Some members in the past have been generous to a fault, and brought amazing, and much coveted (and stolen!) items. Others have... well, let's be diplomatic and just say we'd like to encourage more amazing and coveted gifts!
To that end we're going to add another twist to this year's event. At the end of the robbery, in strict compliance to well established protocol and rules that we'll make up on the spot, whover has brought the most amazing and coveted gift will be recognized with a handcrafted, MG themed bonus gift made by those busy elves in the Welty Workshop. Some might call it a bribe, and some may be right. We'd like to think it will mean everyone will go home with an amazing and coveted gift. And maybe a "Welty" Or two, even!
So, make plans to attend, bring a gift that you'd be proud to give, and enjoy an evening of Christmas cheer and devious thievery!
